The Museum

Deutsche Kinemathek - Museum für Film und Fernsehen with its permanent exhibition is not a Marlene Dietrich Museum.
The aim of Filmmuseum Berlin is to present the history of film using loosely the german-american connection as a guide-and timeline.

No star, not even Marlene Dietrich, could represent the many variations of film history.
Therefore let the museum guide you through the different periodes of time, sometimes focusing on certain stars, films or subjects.

As this site is devoted to Dietrich, we’ll show you what the museum in its various rooms has in store for Marlene fans and friends.

The text by Werner Sudendorf is taken from the book:

Edited by Wolfgang Jacobsen, Hans Helmut Prinzler
and Werner Sudendorf.
